Each commissioned piece is a collaborative journey—crafted with intention, guided by your preferences, and shaped by the natural unpredictability of fluid art. Below, you'll find an overview of how we’ll work together to create artwork that feels personal, meaningful, and entirely yours.

Commission process

To begin, please complete our brief Commission Inquiry Form. This allows me to understand your style preferences, desired colors, and preferred medium. Once submitted, we’ll reach out to schedule a consultation and provide a project quote. - Thank you for considering a custom piece!

If you aren’t sure how to answer the question or what your preference would be, no problem. Our artist will walk you through all of your decisions with physical examples to help you structure your choices.

2 - Personal Consultation

Following your Commission Inquiry Submission, we’ll reach out to you and schedule a consultation to refine your vision. Together, we’ll discuss:

  • your space and aesthetic goals

  • palette direction

  • preferred medium (cradled wood panel, metal print, float frame, etc.)

  • sizing and budget

3 - Contract Execution + Deposit

Once we’ve clarified your vision, I’ll prepare a simple Commission Agreement outlining the scope, timeline, and pricing.

A 50% deposit is required at this stage to reserve your place in the creation schedule and initiate the next phases of your commission.

4 - Color Palette Approval

Once a direction is clear:

  • I’ll craft sample swatches to finalize your custom color palette

  • We’ll refine until you feel confident in the selected pigments.

Please note: While colors are carefully approved, the organic nature of fluid art ensures that no two pours will ever replicate one another exactly. This is where the magic lives!

5 - Creation Phase

In the studio, your vision begins to flow:

  • I will create three distinct pours, each reflecting your approved palette and style

  • Given the fluid, irreversible nature of this medium, each pour is final once created

  • Not every piece may meet my standards - only the one to three works I feel proud to offer will be presented for your selection

6 - selection + delivery

You’ll be invited to review the completed works:

  • Select your favorite piece from the curated set

  • The chosen artwork is prepped, sealed, and ready for delivery

Any unselected pieces remain part of my private collection or are offered to other collectors.

  • Commissioned artwork typically takes 8 to 12 weeks from consultation to completion, depending on the size, complexity, and materials involved. Each piece is carefully handcrafted through multiple stages—including color approvals, pours, and finishing—with updates provided throughout the process.
